Activities to Keep You Entertained

Between watching world-class anglers go head to head, there are tons of activities to keep you busy and entertained at Shasta Lake.

  1. Get out on the Lake in Boat and have an Adventure

Put your own boat in the water and explore Shasta Lake while the fishermen are doing their thing.  If you like, you can rent a ski boat or patio boat from us!   See all of our offerings here!

  1. Explore Shasta Caverns

Drive your boat or take your car and a short ferry ride for a daily tour of this natural wonder!

This geological adventure isn’t just California’s newest national landmark, but it also shares a home with wildlife like bald eagles and black bears.

  1. Enjoy History

Head west of the lake toward the charming town of French Gulch. Founded by French miners in 1849, there’s no shortage of interesting stories to be heard here at the California Historical Landmark.

  1. See Mount Shasta

Take a short drive to the perpetually snow-capped Mount Shasta, which towers over 14,000 feet above sea level! Make your way towards Burney Falls, a truly picturesque view.

  1. Walk Through Lava Tubes

Between Highway 89 and 44 lies an interesting relic of past volcanic action known as the Subway Caves.

As the outside lava cooled, new lava forced a pathway through the old, creating a series of tunnels called lava tubes. The main tube is approximately 1,300 feet long, and visitors may explore it.
